Dr. Kern is Board Certified in Family Practice. He received his medical training at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Kern has held leadership positions including Physician Advisor at St. Petersburg General Hospital and Northside Hospital. Dr. Kern is a member of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, the American Osteopathic Association, Florida Osteopathic Medical Association, and the Pinellas County Osteopathic Medical Society. Opening his practice in St. Petersburg in 1989, he subsequently became JSA’s medical director and has been instrumental in developing the JSA center model. Dr. Kern has more than 15 years experience with Humana HMO and is now an exclusive Humana Medicare Advantage provider.
