Center Support Manager – South Pinellas/Manatee

 

 

POSITION SCOPE:

 

The Center Support Manager reports to the VP of Medical Management and is responsible for the oversight of the centers’ operational and medical management needs.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

¨       Seven years experience in the healthcare field, as well as 5 years in a management/supervisory capacity

¨       Knowledge and experience in data analysis, financial analysis and medical review

¨       Experience in developing analytical tools and spreadsheets, along with instructional tools

¨       Knowledge and experience in Quality Assessment and Improvement programs

¨       Knowledge and experience in the development and administration of managed care principles and practices

¨       Ability to administratively manage and coordinate services

¨       Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, members, network providers, and health plans

¨       Ability to interact and communicate effectively with JSA staff, providers, and local community personnel

¨       Ability to develop, implement and monitor policies to effectively uphold the JSA standards of care, policies and procedures

¨       Ability to train and develop educational tools

¨       Excellent planning and organizational skills

¨       Current Florida RN/LPN license preferred:  clinical/medical experience required

¨       Computer literate, with working ability of Word, Excel, Internet and e-mail

¨       Ability to travel locally

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Direct supervision of all administrators including hiring, performance reviews, counseling and terminations
  • Indirect supervision of all Case Managers including assisting with performance reviews, counseling, and recommendation for terminations
  • Assist in the recruitment process and the assignment of staff & duties
  • Responsible for compliance with JSA Healthcare Policies & Procedures
  • Accountable for oversight & development of the orientation process for the Administrators
  • Function as an essential support person for all centers.
  • Maintain continuous analysis of all operational and medical management activities & practices
  • Respond to inquiries about clinic issues and develop effective corrective action plans
  • Professionally represent JSA in the Tampa medical community
  • Assure compliance with state and federal regulations/standards
  • Advise Director of Operations regarding any risk management issues and participate in the resolution of complicated issues
  • Act as liaison between JSA Corporate office and the centers
  • Other job duties as assigned
